THERAPY, CONSULTATION

“If we go down into ourselves, we find that we possess exactly what we desire.”
I am a Registered Counselling Therapist (Candidate) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists and a Canadian Certified Counsellor with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association. With a Master’s degree in Counselling from Acadia University, I tailor my approach to the uniqueness of each client. I welcome clients into a safe and compassionate space where they can be seen, heard, understood, and valued, believing these conditions support change. I operate from a strength-based, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and collaborative perspective to support clients as they gain insight into themselves and their situations, grow in self-compassion, and are empowered to draw on their innate wisdom and resources to bring about the desired change. I offer counselling on a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, identity/esteem, relationship issues, transition/loss/grief, end-of-life and spiritual/existential concerns. I have received training in the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model® (ITATM) and draw on various approaches, including Attachment and Acceptance-based, Cognitive Behavioural, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused and Narrative approaches, to support clients meaningfully.
