“Just where you are, that’s the place to start. ”
I believe in the inherent wisdom of my clients, and I am committed to a practice where they feel seen, heard, and valued. I practise through an attachment-focused lens, believing that what appears in the present is linked to something in our past. I prioritize cultural responsiveness, equity, collaboration, acceptance, nonjudgment, and agency. My approach is client-centered and integrative, where I draw on therapeutic strategies from various counselling practices to help clients process and reflect more deeply. My work is informed by specialized training in art-based approaches, sand tray, Attachment-Focused EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model® (ITATM), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. I strive to empower clients to value their agency, see their resiliency as a strength, foster self-compassion, and believe in their capacity to create meaningful change for themselves.
Counselling – children 12+ and adults
What I love about counselling:
I love the daily privilege my clients grant me to join them on a journey of discovery that benefits their well-being and wholeness. Witnessing a client’s transformation or illuminations, and seeing the ripple effect their self-revelations have on them finding their way back to their true selves, rediscovering their voice, and trusting their inner wisdom is unmatched. I am constantly amazed by clients’ strength and resilience in the face of change and personal struggle, and their courage to move through their pain. My clients are incredible teachers.
