THERAPY, CONSULTATION

Erica de Sousa

MA. (Counselling Psychology), RCT-C.

Through exploring identity, nervous system patterns, and relationships, I support the gentle unravelling of overwhelm to reveal complexity and capacity to move meaningfully through life’s challenges. Stress, anxiety, grief, anger, and our response to them are part of the human experience that deserve to be met with presence and curiosity.

My experience as a multicultural woman within a family exploring neurodivergence, disability, and caregiving broadens my perspective and the possibilities of our work together. I welcome women and gender- and neuro-expansive people navigating shifting identities, needs, and the accompanying emotions into my practice.

With deep respect for people’s therapeutic needs, I stay aware of the body, our relationship, and the pace of interactions. Conversation, movement, and art are intertwined offerings to help reorient and reconnect with a sense of self.

The times are urgent, we must slow down

What I love about counselling:

I am constantly in awe of the therapeutic relationship’s ability to offer a unique container of possibility. Clear boundaries, roles, and responsibilities form a welcoming space for exploring different aspects of self and generating vitality to engage with life’s uncertainty. I am honoured to hold a side of the container and co-create with others.
